The Person Behind the Work:
Let's Connect

Get to know the values, experiences, and passions that shape everything I do — then reach out. Community starts with a conversation.

Valeria

Beyond the Resume

Rooted in North Carolina and Peru, shaped by DC — I'm a Peruvian American public servant, creative, and community builder who believes the world gets better when people genuinely know each other.

Where I'm From

I grew up in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and annual summers in Peru visiting extended family. Growing up between two countries gave me global perspective early — and a deeply personal stake in caring for the planet and the people on it.

What Drives Me

After working on Capitol Hill and completing my graduate studies at Georgetown's McCourt School, I've zeroed in on climate policy as the defining challenge of our generation. I believe change only works when it's grounded in relationships — when people see themselves in the solutions being shaped.

Who I Am Beyond Work

I host dinner parties, make collaborative playlists, run half marathons, play ukulele, and study astrology as a framework for understanding people. I love creating spaces — physical and digital — that invite genuine connection and spark a little joy.
